Facials & peels at Rejuvena

The right peel or facial depends on your skin — so we start with an assessment, then match the treatment to your concern.

Facial And Peels — Rejuvena Clinic Bedford

What's the difference between a facial and a chemical peel?

A facial deeply cleanses, exfoliates and nourishes the skin for an immediate, healthy glow with no downtime — ideal for maintenance and radiance. A chemical peel uses targeted acids to resurface the skin at a deeper level, addressing specific concerns such as pigmentation, acne, scarring, fine lines and uneven texture, with results that build over days to weeks.

At Rejuvena, our peels range from the gentle, no-downtime BioRePeel to medical-grade options like The Perfect Peel® and the intensive Cosmelan® depigmentation system. Because we're a doctor-led clinic — overseen by a GMC-registered GP with a special interest in dermatology — we assess your skin first and recommend the safest, most effective treatment for your goals. Explore the options below.

There's no single 'best' peel — it depends on your skin type, concern and goals. The advantage of a doctor-led clinic is that we assess properly and choose the right treatment, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

I recently had a Diamond Glow Facial and was very pleased with the experience. The treatment left my skin feeling deeply cleansed, refreshed, and smooth. My face looked brighter after the facial, and my skin felt much cleaner and healthier. Lana was professional and made me feel comfortable throughout the treatment. I would recommend this facial to anyone looking to give their skin a thorough cleanse and refresh.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions — facials & peels in Bedford

Which peel is right for me?
It depends on your skin and concern — BioRePeel for radiance and texture with no downtime, The Perfect Peel for pigmentation and ageing, and Cosmelan for stubborn melasma. A consultation helps us recommend the best option.
Are chemical peels safe for all skin tones?
Many are, but the right choice and proper assessment matter — especially for darker skin tones and melasma. Our doctor-led consultation confirms suitability.
Is there much downtime?
It varies by peel — BioRePeel has little to no downtime, while medical-grade peels involve a few days of peeling. We'll explain exactly what to expect.
How often should I have a peel?
Gentler peels can be repeated every few weeks as a course; stronger medical peels are spaced further apart. Your plan is tailored at consultation.
Do you offer facials as well as peels?
Yes — alongside our chemical peels we offer facials designed to cleanse, exfoliate and rejuvenate the skin for an immediate, healthy glow.

Is it right for you?

Facials and chemical peels suit adults wanting brighter, smoother, healthier-looking skin, whether for ongoing maintenance or to target a specific concern such as pigmentation, acne, scarring or uneven texture. A doctor-led consultation lets us recommend the right strength of treatment for your skin type, tone and goals. Options span all skin types and tones, with careful assessment for darker skin and melasma.

When it isn’t suitable

Peels are generally not advised during pregnancy or breastfeeding, on active skin infections such as cold sores, or on broken or inflamed skin. They may not be suitable if you have recently used isotretinoin (Roaccutane), have certain photosensitising conditions, or a history of keloid scarring. Always disclose your medical history at consultation, as a doctor-led assessment confirms whether treatment is safe and appropriate for you.

Your safety

Safety, side effects & what to expect

Facials are gentle with no downtime, while chemical peels are well-tolerated medical treatments performed after assessment. Depending on the peel strength, common and temporary effects can include redness, tingling, tightness, dryness and visible flaking or peeling over a few days; medical-grade peels involve more noticeable shedding than gentle options like BioRePeel. Following your aftercare and using daily SPF reduces the small risk of irritation or, in darker skin, temporary changes in pigmentation. Because we are doctor-led, suitability is checked first to keep your treatment safe.

Individual results vary and are not guaranteed. Treatments are provided only after a consultation and medical assessment. This information is educational and is not a substitute for professional medical advice.
