Understanding Cool Bleph™

A surgical blepharoplasty cuts and stitches the eyelid. Cool Bleph™ tightens it with light — no scalpel, no anaesthesia, no stitches.

Cool Bleph Non Surgical Blepharoplasty — Rejuvena Clinic Bedford

What is Cool Bleph™, and how does it work?

Cool Bleph™ is a non-invasive laser treatment designed to lift and tighten the upper and lower eyelids — reducing sagging skin, fine lines, puffiness and under-eye bags for a more youthful, refreshed appearance. Unlike traditional blepharoplasty surgery, it uses the Dermablate Er:YAG Cool Laser™, known for its precision and minimal thermal damage.

The laser emits ultra-short pulses of light that gently resurface the delicate eye area and stimulate collagen deep within the skin. Because the laser runs "cool", thermal impact is low — meaning less downtime and minimal discomfort. We're proud to be the only clinic in Bedford to offer it.

Is it right for you?

Cool Bleph suits men and women with mild to moderate eyelid laxity, fine lines or puffiness who want a firmer, more refreshed eye area without surgery. It is well suited to those seeking a non-surgical alternative to blepharoplasty with minimal downtime. Most skin types can be treated, and your suitability for the upper, lower or both eyelids is confirmed at a doctor-led consultation.

When it isn’t suitable

Cool Bleph is not a substitute for surgery where there is significant excess skin or fat herniation, which may need a surgical referral. It is generally avoided during pregnancy or breastfeeding, over active infection, inflammation or skin lesions in the treatment area, and in those prone to keloid scarring or with recent sun exposure or a very recent tan. If you have a history of cold sores, photosensitivity, certain eye conditions or are taking photosensitising medication, please tell us at consultation so suitability can be assessed.

Your safety

Safety, side effects & what to expect

The Dermablate Er:YAG Cool Laser is FDA-approved and recognised as one of the safest lasers for the delicate eye area, used here under doctor-led oversight. Because the laser runs "cool", thermal impact is low, meaning less downtime and minimal discomfort, with protective eyewear worn throughout. Common, temporary side effects include mild to moderate redness, puffiness or light flaking, which usually settle within two to five days; some short-lived swelling may also occur. Results build over the following weeks, and a course of two to three sessions, four to six weeks apart, is often recommended.

Individual results vary and are not guaranteed. Treatments are provided only after a consultation and medical assessment. This information is educational and is not a substitute for professional medical advice.
