Doctor-led non-surgical blepharoplasty (Cool Bleph™) treatment in Bedford
Cool Bleph™ is a precise Er:YAG laser resurfacing treatment for selected upper- and lower-eyelid concerns, including mild to moderate skin laxity, crepey texture and fine lines. It is designed to improve the quality and firmness of eyelid skin without surgical cutting or stitches. Every treatment begins with a consultation with Dr Nick, our GMC-registered Medical Director, to assess your eyelid anatomy, skin type and suitability. He will explain the likely degree of improvement, expected recovery and whether laser treatment — or referral for surgical assessment — would be more appropriate for you.

A surgical blepharoplasty cuts and stitches the eyelid. Cool Bleph™ tightens it with light — no scalpel, no anaesthesia, no stitches.

What is Cool Bleph™, and how does it work?
Cool Bleph™ is a non-invasive laser treatment designed to lift and tighten the upper and lower eyelids — reducing sagging skin, fine lines, puffiness and under-eye bags for a more youthful, refreshed appearance. Unlike traditional blepharoplasty surgery, it uses the Dermablate Er:YAG Cool Laser™, known for its precision and minimal thermal damage.
The laser emits ultra-short pulses of light that gently resurface the delicate eye area and stimulate collagen deep within the skin. Because the laser runs "cool", thermal impact is low — meaning less downtime and minimal discomfort. We're proud to be the only clinic in Bedford to offer it.
What Cool Bleph treats
At Rejuvena in Bedford, each Cool Bleph non-surgical blepharoplasty plan starts with a careful assessment to confirm the concern, suitability and realistic next steps.

Upper- or lower-eyelid skin laxity (mild to moderate)
Gently tightens loose eyelid skin without surgery, for a more open, rested-looking eye.

Crepey upper- or lower-eyelid skin
Resurfaces thin, crinkled eyelid skin to restore smoothness and firmness.

Fine lines around the eyes
Softens fine lines at the outer eye and lower lid, layer by precise layer.

Rough or uneven eyelid skin texture
Refines rough, uneven eyelid skin for an even, luminous surface.

A tired appearance caused partly by loose or finely wrinkled skin
Freshens the whole eye area where loose, finely wrinkled skin makes the eyes look tired.
CoolBleph™ or CoolBleph™ Pro: what is the difference?
CoolBleph™ is not a single, fixed treatment. At Rejuvena, it can be performed at two different levels—CoolBleph™ and CoolBleph™ Pro—depending on your eyelid anatomy, skin quality, degree of laxity and desired level of correction.
Standard CoolBleph™ provides very superficial resurfacing for gentle skin renewal and maintenance. CoolBleph™ Pro is a more advanced corrective procedure using more intensive resurfacing for concerns such as moderate skin laxity, crepey texture and more established lines.
Dr Nick will assess your eyelids and recommend the most appropriate option. A more intensive treatment is not automatically better; the treatment depth must be appropriate for your skin, concern and acceptable recovery time.
CoolBleph™
Gentle eyelid skin renewalA very superficial Er:YAG resurfacing treatment designed to refresh the upper or lower eyelid skin with a lighter recovery.
May be suitable for:
- Early fine lines
- Mild crepey texture
- Dull or uneven eyelid skin
- Gentle skin refreshing
- Maintenance following previous treatment
Topical anaesthetic and intraocular shields are not normally required under the standard protocol.
Discuss CoolBleph™CoolBleph™ Pro
Advanced corrective eyelid resurfacingA more intensive Er:YAG treatment for patients requiring a greater degree of controlled resurfacing and skin remodelling.
May be suitable for:
- Moderate eyelid skin laxity
- More pronounced crepey texture
- Established lines and wrinkles
- More significant textural change
- Patients seeking a corrective rather than maintenance treatment
Topical anaesthetic and intraocular metal eye shields are required.
Discuss CoolBleph™ ProA lift for the eyes, without surgery
For an appropriately selected patient, Cool Bleph™ can improve the surface quality and firmness of upper- or lower-eyelid skin without surgical excision.
Precision resurfacing
The 2940 nm Er:YAG laser allows controlled resurfacing of delicate eyelid skin with limited residual thermal injury compared with more heat-dependent ablative technologies.
Smoother eyelid texture
Treatment can soften fine lines and improve crepey or uneven skin texture around the eyes.
Firmer-looking skin
Healing and collagen remodelling can gradually improve mild eyelid skin laxity and produce a firmer, more refreshed appearance.
Individual treatment intensity
Settings and treatment depth are selected according to the area treated, skin type, clinical findings and acceptable recovery time.
Non-surgical approach
There are no surgical incisions or stitches. However, this remains a medical laser procedure with expected healing, side effects and limitations.
Your Cool Bleph™ journey — step by step
Consultation
Dr Nick assesses your eyelid anatomy, skin quality and suitability before recommending gentle CoolBleph™ or the more corrective CoolBleph™ Pro.
Preparation
For CoolBleph™, the skin is cleansed and external laser eye protection is used. CoolBleph™ Pro also requires topical numbing and intraocular metal eye shields.
Treatment
The Er:YAG laser precisely resurfaces the eyelid skin. CoolBleph™ provides very superficial resurfacing, while CoolBleph™ Pro uses a more intensive protocol for established concerns.
Recovery
CoolBleph™ usually has a shorter, milder recovery. CoolBleph™ Pro involves more visible redness, swelling and flaking while the more intensively treated skin heals.
Results
The skin may appear smoother and firmer once healed, with further improvement developing over the following weeks. Additional treatment is recommended only where appropriate.
Cool Bleph is most valuable when the patient’s concern is caused predominantly by mild laxity and crepey eyelid skin. My role is to identify what is actually producing the hooding or under-eye change, explain what laser resurfacing can realistically improve and recognise when surgery or another treatment would be more appropriate.
CoolBleph™ (upper & lower lids) — £900 per session
CoolBleph™ Pro (upper & lower lids) — £1,200 per session
Consultation & assessment with Dr. Nick: £50 (non-redeemable)
Dr. Nick confirms at consultation whether CoolBleph™ or CoolBleph™ Pro is right for you, and how many sessions your eyelids are likely to need. Prices include upper and lower lids.
Why choose Rejuvena for Cool Bleph™ in Bedford?
Assessment before treatment
Eyelid hooding and under-eye bags can have several different anatomical causes. Your consultation is used to determine whether the concern is genuinely suitable for laser resurfacing before treatment is recommended.
GMC-registered medical leadership
Your treatment plan is overseen by Dr Nick, Rejuvena’s GMC-registered Medical Director, who has more than 20 years of medical experience and postgraduate training in dermatology and aesthetic medicine.
Technology designed for precise resurfacing
Rejuvena uses the Dermablate 2940 nm Er:YAG laser, a technology designed for controlled skin ablation and resurfacing. The Dermablate platform has US FDA 510(k) clearance for specified soft-tissue and skin-resurfacing applications, including skin around the eyes.
Appropriate ocular protection
Laser treatment around the eyes requires careful technique and appropriate ocular protection. The protective method is selected according to the precise area being treated.
Honest discussion of alternatives
Cool Bleph™ is not presented as a replacement for surgery in every patient. If laser treatment is unlikely to address your concern sufficiently, Dr Nick will explain this and discuss appropriate alternatives.
Local continuity of care
Consultation, treatment and post-treatment support are provided through our Bedford clinic, with clear aftercare instructions and access to the clinical team if you have concerns during healing.

I went to see Rejuvena clinic few months ago after reading their reviews online. I was suffering with acne scars since many years and have tried few treatments from elsewhere. I had a consultation with Dr Nick who was very thorough during the consultation and he suggested me few different treatment options. At any time I never felt rushed or pushed to purchase treatments. 6 months fast forward I had laser skin resurfacing, injections and skin care and my skin has never been better. I am very thankful to the Rejuvena clinic to sort out my skin issue once and for all. Thank you very much

Frequently asked questions about CoolBleph™ in Bedford
What is CoolBleph™?
What is the difference between CoolBleph™ and CoolBleph™ Pro?
CoolBleph™ provides gentle, very superficial resurfacing for early concerns, skin refreshing and maintenance. It does not normally require topical numbing or intraocular eye shields.
CoolBleph™ Pro is a more advanced corrective treatment using moderate to deeper controlled resurfacing. It requires topical numbing and intraocular metal eye shields and is intended for moderate skin laxity, pronounced crepey texture and more established lines and wrinkles.
Which is better: CoolBleph™ or CoolBleph™ Pro?
Neither treatment is universally better. The most appropriate option depends on your eyelid anatomy, skin type, degree of laxity, desired improvement and acceptable recovery time.
Dr Nick will recommend the lowest treatment intensity likely to produce a worthwhile result.
Is CoolBleph™ the same as surgical blepharoplasty?
No. Surgical blepharoplasty can remove excess skin and remove or reposition fat. CoolBleph™ uses Er:YAG laser resurfacing to improve selected aspects of eyelid skin quality and mild-to-moderate laxity.
It cannot reproduce the structural changes or degree of correction achievable with surgery.
Can CoolBleph™ help hooded eyes?
It may help when mild hooding is caused partly by loose or crepey upper-eyelid skin. However, hooding can also result from significant excess skin, eyebrow descent or individual eyelid anatomy, which laser resurfacing cannot correct.
A consultation is required to establish the cause before recommending treatment.
Can CoolBleph™ remove under-eye bags?
It depends on what is causing the "bag." CoolBleph™ may improve loose or crepey lower-eyelid skin, making the area appear smoother. However, it does not remove or reposition protruding orbital fat and will not correct every type of under-eye bag.
Dr Nick will assess whether your concern is caused by skin laxity, fat protrusion, hollowing, fluid retention or a combination of factors.
Who is suitable for CoolBleph™?
CoolBleph™ may be suitable for adults with mild-to-moderate eyelid skin laxity, crepey texture or fine lines who want a non-surgical improvement.
Suitability depends on your eyelid anatomy, skin type, medical history, previous eye procedures and expectations. Significant excess skin, prominent fat bags or functional eyelid concerns may require a surgical opinion.
Can CoolBleph™ be used on all skin types?
CoolBleph™ can be considered across a range of skin types, but suitability and treatment settings must be assessed individually. The risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and other pigmentary changes is not the same for everyone.
Your Fitzpatrick skin type, tanning history and previous pigmentation will be considered before treatment.
Is CoolBleph™ safe?
CoolBleph™ can be performed safely in an appropriately selected patient using suitable laser settings, technique and eye protection. However, no ablative laser treatment is risk-free, particularly when performed near the eyes.
Your individual risks and the protective measures required will be discussed before you consent to treatment.
What eye protection is used?
Standard CoolBleph™ is a very superficial treatment and normally uses external laser eye protection without intraocular shields.
CoolBleph™ Pro requires carefully placed intraocular metal eye shields because it involves more advanced resurfacing of the eyelid area.
Does CoolBleph™ hurt?
Standard CoolBleph™ is generally well tolerated and does not normally require topical numbing. Patients may experience warmth, stinging or a prickling sensation.
CoolBleph™ Pro is more intensive, so topical numbing is required. Comfort varies according to the treatment area and individual sensitivity.
How long does recovery take?
Standard CoolBleph™ usually has a shorter, milder recovery, with temporary redness, dryness, sensitivity or fine flaking.
CoolBleph™ Pro involves more visible recovery and can produce redness, swelling, bronzing, crusting or flaking while the skin heals. Your expected recovery will be discussed according to the recommended treatment depth.
When can I wear makeup after CoolBleph™?
Makeup should not be applied until the treated skin has healed sufficiently and the clinic has advised that it is safe. This may take longer following CoolBleph™ Pro.
Applying makeup too soon can irritate the area and increase the risk of contamination.
How many sessions will I need?
Some patients may achieve a worthwhile improvement after one treatment, while others may benefit from further sessions or maintenance treatment.
The number of sessions depends on the concern, treatment intensity and clinical response. Dr Nick will normally assess your healing and results before recommending additional treatment.
When will I see results?
Early improvement may become visible once the initial healing has settled. The eyelid skin may continue to appear smoother and firmer over the following weeks as healing and remodelling progress.
CoolBleph™ is intended to produce a gentler improvement, while CoolBleph™ Pro provides a more corrective resurfacing treatment. Individual results vary.
How long do CoolBleph™ results last?
Results are not permanent because the natural ageing process continues. Their duration varies according to the treatment intensity, skin quality, age, sun exposure, lifestyle and individual response.
Maintenance treatment may be considered where clinically appropriate.
What are the possible side effects?
Expected temporary effects can include redness, swelling, sensitivity, dryness, bronzing, crusting or flaking. These are generally more noticeable following CoolBleph™ Pro.
Less common risks include infection, prolonged redness, pigmentary changes, delayed healing, scarring, uneven results and eye irritation or injury. Your individual risks and aftercare will be discussed before treatment.
