What Is EndoContour, And How Does It Work?
EndoContour is a minimally invasive laser treatment that uses a fine optical fibre to deliver laser energy beneath the skin. Its technique is similar to Endolift, which uses a 1470 nm laser. EndoContour uses the K-Laser Blue platform, which combines 445 nm, 660 nm and 970 nm wavelengths.
Each wavelength contributes a different effect. The 445 nm blue wavelength has an affinity for haemoglobin and helps coagulate small blood vessels during treatment, supporting haemostasis. This may help limit bleeding and reduce the risk of bruising or haematoma. The 660 nm red wavelength provides photobiomodulation, which is intended to support tissue repair and collagen remodelling. The 970 nm near-infrared wavelength contributes a controlled thermal effect within the treatment tissue, including the adipose tissue being treated for contouring.
The procedure is planned around your anatomy and treatment goals. The aim may be to improve selected areas of localised fullness, support tissue tightening or refine contour. Results vary, and EndoContour cannot remove large amounts of excess skin or replace surgery where a surgical procedure is more appropriate.

EndoContour is often compared with Endolift because both use a fine optical fibre to deliver laser energy beneath the skin. Surgery and fat-dissolving injections are other options for some contour concerns, but each works differently and has different indications.

A stable weight and realistic goals are important when planning a contour treatment.
A consultation is needed before treatment. Dr Nick will review your health, medicines and previous procedures, examine the area and discuss whether EndoContour is appropriate. Some medical conditions, medicines, pregnancy or breastfeeding, or an active problem in the treatment area may mean treatment needs to be delayed or avoided. Your individual circumstances will be assessed.
As with other subdermal laser procedures, possible risks include bruising, swelling, tenderness, altered sensation, infection, burns, unevenness or contour irregularity, nodules or firmness, scarring, and injury to nearby structures such as nerves. Risks depend on the treatment area and technique and will be discussed before you consent.
Results are not guaranteed. EndoContour cannot remove significant excess skin, repair separated abdominal muscles or replace surgery where surgery is indicated. We will not treat an unexplained or suspicious skin change as an aesthetic concern; it needs appropriate assessment first.
