Dr. Nick evaluates the mole’s internal structure — pigment network, vascular and architectural features invisible to the naked eye — with a specialist illuminated magnifier.
Benign confirmation — or referral
Only moles confirmed benign are removed. If any feature of concern is identified, the mole is not removed; you are referred through the appropriate NHS pathway immediately.
Local anaesthesia
Topical EMLA cream, plus injectable local anaesthetic where needed, fully numbs the area before removal.
